Frangipanipoet is the name of an Australian writer, marketer, lobbyist and editor who was cajoled into using the name as her handle some 6 years ago by an American friend and has been paying for it ever since.
Americans don’t get the “frangipani” bit (it’s what Aussies call plumeria) and Australians don’t get the whole think-of-a-quirky-name-to-call-yourself-online bit.
A double-edged literary sword that not even the pen is mightier than …
Known to the rest of the world as Sharon (a really common name that Aussies are comfortable with), she lives in the city of Queanbeyan, just outside of the Australian national capital, Canberra.
In this piece of paradise, she maintains a small writing and editing business and fails to maintain a small garden. She also answers to the beck and call of a small, grey, tortoiseshell cat.
